The Internet hates me!

So I posted some of my freshest (not-yet-published on Tumblr) comics to the Imgur gallery last night.* 

People downright hated my stuff!

I got some classic comments like, “Hey Don, maybe Ella left you cause YOU’RE SUCH A FREAKING DOWNER!” and “This Don Depresso stuff sucks. Downvote me all to hell if you want, I’ve said my piece” and “this is kinda depressing. do you need someone to talk to, OP?” One person even said, “We love movingly depressing, not sardonically depressing.”

I won’t deny that these negative comments and downvotes hurt my feelings, but at the same time, I really don’t give a fuck. If people hate my art, that’s all the more reason for me to keep making it.

*To be fair, I didn’t realize that my submissions were all going to show up at once and flood everyone’s feeds. Being a newb to Imgur, I assumed there would either (A) be some sort of moderation process before my submissions made it into the gallery or (B) be so many users submitting images at the same time that mine would be more or less lost in the crowd. I think this is part of the reason people were so harsh on me. (Welcome to teh Internetz, Ruji!)
